Keith B. Alexander

Retired four-star U.S. Army general who directed the National Security Agency and led U.S. Cyber Command from 2005-2014, and founder/co-CEO of cybersecurity firm IronNet; he joined Amazon's board of directors in September 2020. His appointment drew criticism from civil-liberties advocates given his role in mass-surveillance programs, and he informed Amazon in April 2026 that he would not stand for re-election.
