Subsidiary of Gravy Analytics.

Venntel, a subsidiary of Gravy Analytics, aggregated smartphone location data harvested from ordinary apps' advertising IDs and sold the resulting movement histories to government — DHS, ICE, CBP, the FBI, and the IRS — as a way to track people without a warrant. In January 2025 the FTC finalized an order barring Gravy and Venntel from selling sensitive location data, days after a major breach of Gravy Analytics exposed a large trove of the location data it held.
