Through a decade of acquisitions, Motorola Solutions assembled an end-to-end policing stack: Vigilant Solutions license-plate readers and their multi-billion-record LEARN database, Avigilon AI cameras with face and appearance search, WatchGuard body cameras, and CommandCentral real-time crime-center software — on top of the radios most US police already carry. A public company worth roughly $80 billion, it kept buying in 2025, adding battlefield-grade mesh-radio maker Silvus Technologies for about $4.4 billion and folding new generative-AI ('Assist') summaries into its real-time crime centers.
